Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will round things out when it arrives.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The speed is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

This is the part that requires honesty. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not make it safe. But factor into how you think about it.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works depends on you.

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
